Accreditation Programs

The AGSCB accreditation process is intended to provide objective, third-party evidence that an organization operates to a high level of organizational, legal, and technical performance. In practice, this means demonstrating (and being able to consistently maintain) clear governance and documented controls, defined roles and responsibilities, competent personnel, impartial decision-making, confidentiality safeguards, and effective handling of complaints and appeals—alongside the technical capability needed for the specific conformity assessment activities within the organization’s scope.

To support broad acceptance across markets, AGSCB states that its accreditation programs are built around internationally recognized standards and related requirements. These referenced standards help ensure the accreditation framework is aligned with widely used conformity assessment expectations for areas such as management systems, products, services, and personnel.

AGSCB’s accreditation criteria are designed to turn those referenced standards into practical, performance-based guidelines that applicants and stakeholders can use to understand what “conformity” looks like in real operations—covering elements such as competence, consistency of assessment, control of outsourced activities, records and reporting, and ongoing oversight. AGSCB notes that these criteria were developed by its Accreditation Committee and finalized following public hearings.
